Community Council
The Community Council is made up of local people and its purpose is to promote the well being of the local community and to represent the views of the community in relation to matters of public interest .
It can provide support for local projects and initiatives – recent examples include improvements to the village hall, support for a new all weather tennis court near Clarencefield, providing a new bus shelter in Ruthwell village, and the installation of a defibrillator machine.
The Community Council meets every two months in the McFarlan Hall in Clarencefield, and everyone is welcome to attend.
